Full Indie is one of the largest indie game dev community and I am more than happy to give a very short speech tonight in front of 100 indies about machinima and indie games. It was made possible thanks to the invitation of Kimberly Voll who loves video games, art, tech and who teaches CS, digital media, & health informatics. She also runs Vancouver’s Global Game Jam, and makes indie games. She is also a rapid prototyping teacher at the Center for Digital Media.
The full indie meetup will be at Ceili’s Irish Pub & Restaurant 670 Smithe & Granville, Vancouver, BC. The meetup will kick off with 3 speakers (one is me! 😉 ) and then ther will be a transition into free-form networking. The Doors open at 6:30pm. Speeches start at 7:00pm. Networking begins around 7:30pm

Vancouver is home to many game developers and publishers, large and small. We have acclaimed game design schools and play host to GDC Canada. In other words, Vancouver is a bustling hive of game-related activity.
It only natural that Vancouver is home to several independent game developers as well. Whether you’re a small studio or a bedroom coder, you have a unique view of the industry. The purpose of this meetup is to get to know your fellow Vancouver indies and to share experience and knowledge. If you’re working on a game independently, or are thinking about it, this is the place for you.
